Nordic skiing is not exempt from incidents and accidents. Not necessarily of the same nature as on downhill slopes, they can still be painful (ankles, knees, collarbones, etc.) and require assistance, which, as in all ski resorts, has to be paid for. Assur'Glisse Fond provides comprehensive cover with no advance payment of rescue costs; don't take the subject lightly, look at the details!

Guarantee 1. 
Costs for search, rescue and initial medical transport, with no advance for expenses

  • Up to the actual costs if the accident occurs in France
  • Capped at €15,245 if the accident occurs in a neighbouring country

Guarantee 2. 
Refund of the price of the NORDIC pass and skI lessons in the case of an accident

  • For any pass (for the “one-day” packages refunds the package and the skiing lessons if the accident occurs before 14h or during the first half of the period of validity of the pass, upon proof of an intervention by the emergency rescue service of the resort)
  • For passes valid two or more days, in the case of an accident, illness with hospitalisation for more than 24 hours, early return, or medical repatriation of the insured person or an insured family member, pro-rated according to time [capped at €305/person and €1000/family).

  • Ski lessons will be refund only if the dates of validity of the nordic pass with insurance are the same that the dates of the ski lessons.
Guarantee 3. 
Refund of medical and hospitalisation costs after a skiing accident

  • Incurred at the resort or the closest healthcare establishments
  • And not covered by public insurance and/or any other insurance or supplemental insurance institution,
  • Up to the contractual limitations (after deduction of the contractual excess)

Guarantee 4. 
Your repatriation and that of the insured members of your family in geographic Europe

  • This cover only includes claims during your pass period of validity
  • in France and in ski areas in neighbouring countries that can be accessed using nordic pass issued in France.

Main exclusions to Assur'Glisse insurance covers

We make sure that our insurance policies are as comprehensive as possible, but there are a few things that are excluded from cover. Make sure you're happy with them before you sign up!

PLEASE NOTE: ASSUR'GLISSE SOLUTIONS ARE PERSONAL INSURANCE CONTRACTS, NOT PROPERTY INSURANCE CONTRACTS.
Objects and sports equipment rented, loaned or belonging to the insured person are not covered in the event of an accident.

SOME SPECIFIC MEDICAL SITUATIONS

  • Pregnancy
  • Expenses for prostheses, dental implants and optics [lenses, frames, contact lenses]
  • Illness not involving hospitalisation
SPECIFIC SPORT PRACTICES

  • The use of motor vehicles
  • Aerial sports such as paragliding and hang gliding
  • Bobsleighing, ice hockey and skeleton
  • Sledding
  • Bungee-jumping
SPORT IN COMPETITION

  • Tobogganing as a sport on a race track
  • Sports practised as a professional
  • Participation in official competitions organised by or under the aegis of a sport
    • federation
OTHER POLICY EXCLUSIONS

  • Fines
  • Alcohol and drug use
  • Deliberate acts of the policyholder
  • Deliberate non-compliance with recognised safety rules for any insured sporting activity
